What Happens When You Visit the

Church of Christ?

You will meet a friendly group of people who love Jesus Christ and His Word with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. We preach, study and love the Word of God. Our worship service is simple and profound as provided in God's instructions. We will have several prayers, sing several songs, preach a sermon, take up a collection, and have the Lord's Supper.

Prayers are offered.

Prayers will be offered for anyone that has a need or asks. You may wish to ask that a prayer be prayed for you or a family memebr or anyone in need. Please join us 30 minutes before the evening service for prayer. We will have a prayer at the begining of every worship service and at the end. Prayers are offered for anyone coming forward at the conclusion of services and baptism administered if you desire (see special note on baptism). (Col. 5:2; James 5:16; " Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer" (Rom 12:12).

Preaching is encouraging and edifying.

We preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. All of our sermons are gospel sermons from the Word of God. You will find the truth of God's Word will edify, encourage, uplift, and mold us into the person Jesus Christ wishes us to be. The blessings are great and ever increasing. "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God" (1 Cor 1:18). " Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine" (2 Tim 4:2).

Lord's Supper Observed.

Lord's Supper is observed every first day of the week as commanded by Jesus Christ. We take the unleavened bread to remember our Lord's suffering on the cross. We also take the fruit of the vine to remember the blood of Jesus Christ (Luke 22:18-20; 1 Cor 11:23-28).

Offering is taken up with joy.

A free will offering is taken up every Sunday because Jesus Christ commanded it. We are to do this cheerfully and with joy. 1 Cor 16:2 "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come" (1 Cor 16:2).

Praise is offered in singing.

The thing most people notice when they first visit the church of Christ is that we have no instruments. What you hear is singing of hymns, songs and spiritual songs as Jesus Christ commanded.Colo 3:16 (KJS) "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Col 3:16). "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Eph 5:19).

Fellowsip in Jesus Christ is practiced.

Our fellowship is with Jesus Christ. This fellowship gives us responsibilities to one another as the creation of God. The most wonderful time of fellowship is the worship service where we glorify Jesus Christ. We also have fellowship dinners, events, men's breakfast, and ladies activities that promote fellowship. Our Bible study draws us all closer. Come and see.
